Bill Franklin Volunteer of the Year Award

This award recognizes the vital role of volunteers in institutional advancement. A volunteer is any non-staff person who assists in advancing the institution through programs such as fund-raising, alumni relations, and student recruitment. Volunteers may not be nominated posthumously.  Institutions may nominate only one individual. Nominees are judged on their overall volunteer contributions, and on the long-term effect of these contributions on the institution and education. Nominees may be trustees; they may be, but need not be, alumni.

Nominations must be accompanied by an entry form, a biographical summary of the volunteer's accomplishments (up to three typewritten, double-spaced pages), and up to five letters from individuals supporting the nomination.

The recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award will be recognized at the CASE III Conference in Tampa, FL in February 2010. The nominating institution is responsible for travel arrangements for the recipient. CASE III will reimburse up to $500 of the travel costs for the recipient to attend the Awards presentation.

There is no entry fee for this category.
