When you've got a theme like "Ingenuity," the pressure is on to come up with some top-flight speakers. People who not only share knowledge, but who engage and energize the audience.
That describes the lineup we've got so far for the 2010 conference in Tampa.
Keynote Speaker • Sunday, Feb. 21 • 5 p.m.
Jason is widely known as The Gen Y Guy®, and for good reason. He's a generational expert who has been featured on "60 Minutes," "20/20," "The Today Show," and "The View." And he's been profiled in Fortune Magazine. And he's a bestselling author, acclaimed speaker, and award-winning entrepreneur.
Jason's talent is teaching leaders creative and inexpensive ways to maximize Gen Y employee performance while leading all Four Generations in the workplace. His style is energetic and hilarious, and he'll have CASE III inspired and entertained. See for yourself >
Jason’s non-traditional path began when he authored his first bestselling book, "Graduate to Your Perfect Job," at age 18. This book became a national bestseller and is estimated to have helped 100,000 members of Gen Y enter the workforce. Jason followed the success of his first book with three more including his newest, titled, "My Reality Check Bounced!"

As president of the Southern Education Foundation, a public charity focused on reducing educational inequality in the South and abroad for low-income students, Lynn Huntley has a unique perspective on the issues. That perspective was shaped by a distinguished career in law that began at Columbia University, from which she earned a J.D. degree (and graduated with honors). Huntley went on to hold key positions for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. She has also served as director of the Ford Foundation’s Rights and Social Justice Program, the division focused on minority and women’s rights, refugee and migration issues, legal services for the poor, minorities and media. Ms. Huntley conceived and directed the Comparative Human Relations Initiative, an examination of race and inequality in Brazil, South Africa and the United States and strategies to surmount discrimination. She also serves as vice chair of the board for CARE USA, the world's largest development non-profit organization.
One of the highest rated sessions from past years makes its return at Ingenuity. How has the current economic and public policy climate affected your institution? What is on the horizon and how will higher education and independent schools react? How is your institution utilizing the new social media and networking that is available? What keeps you up at night? These questions (and more) will be discussed with a panel of highly respected campus CEOs. Also, the CASE III Award for CEO of the Year will be presented.
As a former business college dean and a fundraiser who established more than 200 chairs of private enterprise, Dr. Michael Mescon is the perfect speaker for Sunday’s Pre-Conference luncheon. Attendees at all three Pre-Conference workshops will hear the author of Business Today, regarded as the most successful introductory textbook in business education (now in its 10th edition). Dr. Mescon also wrote the best-selling management text Management: Individual and Organization Effectiveness and was named Georgia Author of the Year for Showing up for Work and Other Keys to Business Success.
Dr. Mescon is dean emeritus of the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, where he held the world’s first chair of private enterprise. He also serves on the advisory board of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at the university and teaches a class on leadership at the school. His high energy, bright humor and sage advice will create an experience you won’t forget.
Closing Brunch • Wednesday, Feb. 24
Institutional advancement is a business of persuasion — getting others to understand a point of view, then identify its relevance to them. So, CASE III is extremely fortunate to have Dr. Gregory Neidert, an Arizona State professor of psychology and expert in the "science" of persuasion, as our closing speaker. As the Director of Training of INFLUENCE AT WORK, a consultancy, Dr. Neidert trains those who help organizations strengthen their ability to build a compelling and actionable case for support. On he consulting side, he also deals with management and employees in shaping a culture that can adapt to ever-changing internal and external factors. After hearing Dr. Neidert, you'll understand why Motorola, Intel, Merrill Lynch and other Fortune 100 companies have hired him. (You're also sure to replay his remarks on the trip back to your campus...)
